摘要
In the first part of this two-part paper the problem of sizing and modelling of single phase permanent magnet motors with U-shaped stator core is adressed. First, the working mode of the inverter and motor are shortly described and commented. The main parameters which are necessary for the mathematical model are then determined based on the magnetic field distribution obtained via the finite elements method (FEM). Analytical expressions suited for hand calculation are also derived. As the practical tests on a prototype confirm, the resulting equations are well suited for the design, modelling and performance prediction of the machine. Therefore, they can be used to obtain a first approximation for the parameters and for sizing and optimization purpose of this kind of machine. In the second part, a model is derived and the performance under load condition is determined and compared with tests results.
