摘要
A large number of papers have been published on active control of structures subjected to earthquake. Most of these papers, however, describe various techniques to control the structural response under the assumption that-the active control device is perfectly workable without failure. This paper presents: a new analytical, technique to estimate the cost benefits and structural reliability of actively controlled structures considering system failure probability. The proposed technique is based on the stationary random vibration theory and the stochastic linear optimal regulator, Numerical example shows that the failure probability of actively controlled structure with low confidence of control device becomes higher than that of a structure without active control.
