摘要：

A five-month-old Jack Russel Terrier was presented for reduced exercise tolerance and syncope. Electrocardiography, thoracic radiography and echocardiography supported a diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The dog was treated with atenolol, frusemide and enalapril at standard doses. Despite therapy, the pup developed increased coughing and episodes of syncope became longer and more frequent. Eventually, pulmonary oedema developed, resulting in dyspnoea, and the dog died at 12 months of age. [Perkins M et al (2011) Aust Vet Practit 41:11]
