G12: Soil properties (2)

A review of papers IR11, KR21, KR23, NP05, PK02 and SG16 is presented here. The papers were submitted to Session G12 Soil Properties 2. All papers are collected under the mentioned technical session and discussed mostly about the engineering practices on soil properties and estimation of soil parameters. The papers can be divided into three different categories. Measurement and interpretation of soil parameters in laboratory and field was the main interest of papers KR21, KR23 and SG16. Development of new method and device was the other topic that the papers PK02 and IR11 belong to this category. Paper NP05 discussed a kind of socioeconomic subject in the geotechnical engineering practice. Research method was also different in these papers. it is attempted to overview to the mentioned papers and gives some comments on the studied papers.
