摘要
Wireless power delivery and telemetry are the key aspects of an implantable device that enables long-term operation which is otherwise limited by the factors like battery capacity (in battery operated systems), infections and pain (tethered systems). In this paper, we present our efficient wireless power delivery and reliable telemetry platform that enables a completely implantable muscle stimulator. 100mW of rectified power is delivered to the implant at an efficiency of over 40% and supports bidirectional telemetry at 2.4 Kbps with a bit error rate lesser than 10(-7). The wireless platform is tested chronically in rats. Electrical safety is ensured using heating measurements and they augur well with simulation results.
