摘要
The paper deals with the analysis of two non-identical unit standby system with one helping unit. One unit is known as priority (p) unit and other as ordinary (o) unit. The helping (h) unit is considered to protect the failure of p-unit. The p-unit may also operate without h-unit only when o-unit is failed but with increased failure rate. A single repairman is available to repair a failed p-unit, o-unit and h-unit by giving the priority to p-unit. Failure time distributions of all the units are taken exponentials whereas repair time distributions are taken general. Various measures of system effectiveness are obtained by using regenerative point technique.
