In situ gamma-ray spectrometric measurement of uranium in phosphate soils

摘要
The concentration of U-238 in a phosphate ore quarry was measured in situ. Independently, soil samples collected from the site were measured in the laboratory. It was found that radon emanation from the soil lowers in situ results that are derived from radon daughters. The uranium concentration was found to be 121.6 +/- 1.9 mg kg(-1).
