摘要
To ensure significant progress in global poverty eradication, countries combating poverty consider it a socio-political, and ethical-economic issue. Limited control over productive resources and/or no access to financial resources is the prime driver of income inequality and poverty. Microfinance is a policy tool that assists the deprived mass in creating productive assets through hassle-free access to credit. The current research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of micro-enterprises in poverty eradication across different wealth groups. A quasi-experimental research carried out over 476 microcredit beneficiaries, selected proportionately. A well-structured schedule was designed, and data collected through direct interaction. The bank linked microcredit programs are effectively creating employment opportunity. The wealth creation rates of households are not uniform across different wealth groups. The current research is limited to the geographical scope and sample size of the study. The study adopts a novel approach towards identifying the impact of microfinance across different wealth groups.
