Biexcitonic signatures in femtosecond pulse propagation

摘要
We have studied the nonlinear transmission of 120 fs probe pulses through a high-quality ZnSe/Zn(S,Se) sample excited by strong pump pulses in the vicinity of the exciton-biexciton transition. Pump and probe pulses were either co- or counter-circularly polarized. At a probe delay of 2 ps we observe induced absorption at the exciton-biexciton resonance in the spectrally resolved probe transmission for the counter-circular configuration. This is accompanied by characteristic signatures in the time resolved transmission.
