(p)over-right-arrow(p)over-right-arrow→W±X asymmetries with STAR at RHIC

摘要：

W boson production in polarized pp collisions provides one of the cleanest ways to probe the flavor-dependence of sea antiquark polarizations in the nucleon The relevance of such measurements, and their advantages over semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering, for distinguishing among competing models for the origin of the sea are pointed out. Simulations of the expected performance of the STAR detector far W production are then described.
