摘要
The adsorption of As(III) and As(V) on manganese ferrite nanoparticles (NPs) was studied. The ferrite NPs were synthesized by co-precipitation and to know the amount of Mn in the ferrite NPs, EDX elemental analysis was performed. The SEM images of ferrite NPs show a size of similar to 50 nm and agglomerates of particles smaller than 20 nm were also distinguished. The main factors effecting arsenic adsorption optimization (ferrite dosage, pH and arsenic initial concentrations) were studied. Experimental data were fitted in agreement to the pseudo-second order kinetic model (PSO) and the Freundlich isotherm model. The manganese ferrite NPs confirmed high performance as arsenic adsorbent.
