摘要：
Single diastereomers of tris(alpha -methylbenzyl)amine were efficiently synthesised in either racemic [(+/-)-1] or optically pure (1) form starting from alpha -methylbenzylamine. The X-ray crystal structures reveal virtually flat nitrogen centres.
