摘要
The quantitative and qualitative characteristics of training qualified specialists in the field of knowledge "Electrical engineering" in the conditions of modernization of Ukrainian higher education and development of the economy in the context of European integration and globalization are analyzed. It is found out that quantitative characteristics in view of the scope of education by levels and specialties, and the variety of sources of funding, etc. are generally enough to meet practical economic needs and at the same time insufficient to provide innovative development of electrical and power production. The critical insufficiency of competitive quality of education in electrical and power engineering is argued. The state of the implementation of standardization and accreditation based on the competence approach and Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area is revealed. A more progressive rating mechanism for improving the quality of higher education in general and in the field of knowledge "Electrical Engineering" in particular, is proposed.
