摘要
For frequency diverse array (FDA) pattern synthesis, smaller aperture or fewer elements are expected to obtain the desired beampattern performance. This paper propose a new FDA beampattern synthesis approach by ti-norm minimization and convex optimization. Given array aperture, a virtual uniform linear FDA array with much smaller element spacing and corresponding frequency increment is created first; then, the array pattern synthesis (APS) problem is formulated as finding a jointly sparse weight vector, the antenna elements corresponding to nonzero values of the joint sparse weight vector are retained to form the non-uniform FDA. Finally, the weight vector of the non-uniform FDA is optimized via convex programming. Compared with discrete spheroidal sequence (DSS) method, the proposed algorithm can save 7 antenna elements to achieve the desired radiation pattern.
