摘要：
Various pyrazolo [3,4-b] pyridines [II(a-b)] were prepared from 1-(3'-chloro phenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone by treating it with aldehydes followed by ammonium acetate and malononitrile. These compounds were characterized on the basis of elemental and spectral analysis. All the newly synthesized compounds were tested for their antimicrobial activity.
