摘要
According to the traditional structure and functions, we classified the converters, but they have been confusing and vague. In this paper, an universal model and expression is proposed, which can help to reclassify the converters considering relations among them. Firstly, based on the basic Buck converter, the general model of the converter is built according to the volt-second balance principle. And then a unified mathematic expression of the converters is put forward. Within the appropriate boundary conditions and some possible variations of this unified expression, the expressions of the specific converters can be deduced, such as Boost, Buck-boost, Inverter and Rectifier. Using the general model and expression, multilevel converters are also easier constructed. The proposed analysis method reveals the consistency principle behind different converters, also can help engineers to development converters.
