摘要
This study used refined and crude Jatropha curcas L. seed oil biodiesels to analyse their oxidation stability using the Rancimat method. The samples were prepared by the esterification-transesterification-methanol vapour distillation refining process. Jatropha curcas L. seed oil biodiesel was characterised using the infrared spectrum and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) to ensure that its main components were methyl oleate, methyl linoleate, methyl palmitate, and methyl stearate. The analysis of the sample oil showed that the oxidation stability increased as the induction time was increased from 1.05 to 5.59 h. A series of experiments were carried out to discover the effects of variables such storage time, and experimental temperature, on oxidation stability of Jatropha curcas L. seed oil biodiesel. The results showed that experimental temperature and storage time had a greater influence on oxidation stability when compared to others variables.
