摘要
D-(H)-covered Pt(100) surfaces were exposed to thermal H (D) atoms at 90 K and the kinetics of reaction product formation was measured simultaneously with atom exposure. HD and D-2 (H-2) were observed as reaction products. The kinetics of these products differ from the kinetics observed in the analogous reactions on Pt(lll) and Pt(110) surfaces, and give further evidence for structure sensitivity in abstraction reactions. The kinetics can be explained by assuming heterogeneity in reactivity and sticking. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
