Measuring farm financial performance for beef cow operations with multiple operations

摘要：
Computing pertinent farm financial measures and providing benchmarks for whole-farm performance measures for beef cow operations using Kansas Farm Management Association data were demonstrated. Results indicated that financial performance was higher for farms with large beef cow herds and farms that were more diversified. The importance of measuring financial performance will become increasingly critical for producers in the future due to a number of changes in the beef industry.
