摘要
A nano-bulk composite (NBC) photocatalyst based on bulk CdS and nanosize TiO2 nanoparticles was fabricated by precipitation method and sol-gel synthesis. Its photocatalytic hydrogen production rate from aqueous solution containing hole scavengers such as sulfide and sulfite under visible light irradiation (lambda >= 420nm) was higher than that of single-phase CdS photocatalyst by a factor of ca. 4.5. The formation of nanoscale heterojunctions between two phases seemed to cause an efficient electron-hole separation and contribute to the unprecedented high rate of hydrogen production under visible light.
