摘要
The efficiency of e-learning programs may be significantly improved by a better understanding and subsequent modeling of the human learner-teacher behavior during the learning process. The best models provide for active knowledge acquisition, based on enforcing a performance-based behavior. They also allow for adjustments in content delivery, based on measured student performance and his learning style. The proposed model adds a new dimension to be taken care of, namely the goals that the student has in his mind when enrolling in an e-learning course. We allow for the change of the goal during the course and adapt accordingly the content delivery. We also take in consideration other factors, like group activities. Our model differ from the classical mastery learning approach and optimizes the learning process, allowing for a more efficient and less frustrating learning experience. The actual model is a course delivery platform, which we develop according to the theoretical model. The paper reports the incipient results of this work-in-progress research.
