摘要
The peripheral arterial disease is a major risk factor leading to lower extremity amputations. We evaluated 37 patients with peripheral artery disease which had a one-wire interwoven stent placed and had a three-month follow up. Limb salvage was 100% and no fractures of the implant were reported. Choosing the optimal treatment option for the femoropopliteal region is still a matter of debate. The polemic is caused by the specific forces acting in the femoropopliteal region: extension/contraction; torsion; compression; flexion; pulsation. Despite short-term follow-up our results are comparable to other larger studies.
