摘要
The five-parameter version of the Carreau-Yasuda model has sufficient flexibility to fit various experimental viscosity vs. shear rate curves. Here, analytical solutions are derived for the velocity distribution and the average flow velocity for the steady isothermal flow of a Carreau-Yasuda model fluid in a straight, circular tube. The solution procedure can be applied to other incompressible generalized Newtonian fluids. The analytical expressions herein derived can be useful in validating numerical solutions.
