摘要
We present a measurement of stellar metallicity for star-forming galaxies at redshifts z similar to 2. Galaxies were observed as part of the Galaxy Mass Assembly ultradeep Spectroscopic Survey (GMASS) and targetted to have Spitzer IRAC 4.5 mu m magnitude m(4.5 mu m)<23.02 and photometric redshift of Z(phot)>1.4, and as possible progenitors of early-type galaxies in the nearby Universe. Metallicity was measured for 72 coadded galaxy spectra using an index defined by Rix, Pettini and collaborators for theoretical star-forming galaxy spectra.
