摘要
With increase of terrorist activity, it is becoming more important for buildings to control the blast vibration which results from ground motion and air shock wave than before. This paper focuses on measures for blast-induced vibration control of structures. First, a new safety criterion for blast vibration of structures was presented instead of the maximum site velocity criterion with disadvantage. The new criterion can consider the influence of more factors including the maximum velocity, the average velocity and the lasting time of blast vibration. Next, from the angle of the wave propagation path and the structural response respectively, some new measures for vibration control of structures were presented. Meanwhile, some key problems in applying the natural seismic response control devices to the blast-induced vibration control were discussed. It is pointed out that: from the viewpoint of the absorption and dissipation of energy, the traditional devices for natural seismic response control of structures can be also used for blast-induced vibration control of structures; however, the control effect of these devices may be discounted at some degree because of the impulse characteristics of the blast-induced seismic waves and the air shock waves.
