摘要
IgE-mediated allergies in children have become complex and difficult to manage in private allergist practices. Herein we propose a diagnostic tool to help allergists in the diagnosis and management of IgE-mediated food allergy in children. This tool contains a systematic medical questionnaire addressing several items for overall childcare. It is supplemented by tables that ensure accurate questioning about food, help screen for cross-reactions between allergens (food and non-food), and list French industrial products containing the main allergens. Details are also given of the laboratory examinations, skin pricks tests and blood IgEs suggested by the questionnaire results. Finally, a patient management plan is proposed on the basis of the overall clinical and laboratory results. (C) 2020 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
