Contemporary political Ismal : a theocracy without social project

Contemporary political Islam promotes a theocracy deprived of any significant renovating social project challenging the power of the hegemonic bloc of the dominant classes associated with capitalist globalisation. The analysis of the intellectual responsability of the Nahda (Renaissance) proposed by the author throws a new light on the evolution that led the Moslem world to the current impasse, with its rejecting the values of an emancipatory democratic and secular future.
