摘要
Cerium dioxide nanoparticles can be used as a photodegradable agent due to the possibility of the Ce3+ - Ce4+ transition. Activity of cerium dioxide nanoparticles can depend on many factors, such as the size and shape, their non-stoichiometry, which depend on the method of preparation and post-processing. The aim of this work was to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of cerium dioxide nanoparticles. To change the degree of stoichiomeby, cerium dioxide nanoparticles were annealed at 600 degrees C. It was shown that annealed nanoparticles have higher photocatalytic activity compare to pure nanoparticles.
