The importance of physics in more than four dimensions is emphasized, in particular we are interested in black holes. Spacetimes that describe static and stationary black holes in D = 4 dimensions are introduced as well as black holes and black rings in D = 5. The black ring system shows that uniqueness of D = 4 black holes does not hold in D > 4 dimensions. We present, in Weyl's coordinates, a technique to genenate D = 5 solutions of Einstein equations in vacuum, some of them can be interpreted as black holes. An example is provided in which starting with Minkowski spacetime, a D = 5 black hole solution is generated.
