摘要
Hydrodynamic performance analysis of a Francis turbine with medium/high specific speed of 1.4 has been accomplished using the validated commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code. Predicted results by the CFD code adopted in the present study are in fairly good agreement with measured data over the entire operating conditions. The prediction method presented herein can be used efficiently as a reliable tool for the practical design and performance analysis of Francis hydraulic turbines.
