Analysis of the Impact of Lean and Green Practices in Manufacturing Companies: An Exploratory Study

摘要：

This study evaluates the degree of implementation of Lean and Green Practices in the Portuguese manufacturing companies as well as the achieved operational, environmental and financial performance. An online questionnaire was designed and distributed, and 158 answers were collected. An Exploratory Factor Analysis was conducted and 10 factors were extracted. The Cluster Analysis was used to classify companies in three groups. This study confirms that the wider adoption of Lean and Green practices leads to overall better operational, environmental and financial performance; therefore, it is favorable to invest in the combined implementation of Lean and Green practices.
