The initiation of oxidation reactions by low-intensity microwave radiation

摘要
It was found that microwave electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of 9.458 GHz and a maximum microwave power density incident on a sample of 0.1 W cm(-2) initiated chemical oxidation reactions of organic substances in the liquid phase in air. Singlet oxygen was assumed to be an oxidizing agent.
