Numerical simulation for eutrophication in lakes with cooling water circulation

摘要
The paper presents a mathematical approach in assessing the influence of eutrophication of lakes or shallow reservoirs with cooling water circulation. The algorithm of modified hybrid method of fractional steps is used. Based on the correct simulation of flow and temperature fields, the water quality of the relevant water region is predicted with single step one level ecological dynamic model and the influence of alga growth processes resulted from the temperature increment is analyzed. The method has been well tested and used in the environmental assessment and engineering design of a large power project.
