Lipid-rich carcinoma of the female breast -: Clinical, mammographic, sonographic, and histologic diagnosis:: Case report and literature review

With an incidence of 1-1.6%, lipid-rich breast carcinoma represents a very rare entity among breast cancers. Only 50 cases are reported in the literature, including 1 in a male, 1 in a child and 48 in women. In addition to the clinical, sonographic, and mammographic characteristics of this special type of breast cancer, this case report includes a discussion of the histologic features and therapy options.
