Influence of shot peening on fatigue property of Ti-60 high temperature titanium alloy

摘要
The changes of surface topography, surface roughness, surface residual stress and compressive residual stress field caused by shot peening and their effects on fatigue properties of Ti-60 high temperature titanium alloy at 20 and 600 degrees C were investigated. The results show that the fatigue limit for 1 x 10(7) cycles is increased by similar to 39 and 15% by shot peening at 20 and 600 degrees C respectively.
