Two-stage variable-time-scale rolling scheduling model with energy storage

摘要
To address the fluctuation caused by renewable energy, the rolling scheduling is usually adopted, in which the day-ahead scheduling results are updated with the intra-day scheduling results according to near-term fore-casting results of the load and renewable energy. However, this kind of scheduling causes problems in dealing with energy storage, which is called nearsightedness. Because it only considers the current scheduling cycle and ignores the benefit of the entire cycle. Focusing on nearsightedness, this paper proposed a two-stage variable-time-scale rolling scheduling model with energy storage. By adjusting the length of the scheduling horizon to the remaining time of the day and dividing the scheduling horizon into three segments, not only the accuracy but also the computational efficiency of the scheduling can be improved. Through the test of the PJM-5 system and IEEE 118-Bus system, it is verified that the proposed method can effectively avoid the nearsightedness and therefore results in better scheduling performance.
