摘要
This article examines factors that influence and contribute to both participation and nonparticipation of employees in worksite health promotion activities with the focus on providing ways to maximize benefits. Marketing considerations include providing employees with a conceptualization of success; overcoming prior negative issues such as awkwardness or injury; creating employee ''need'' for programs; focusing promotion programs to meet the needs of the population of the company; and breaking down barriers that hinder participation. A variety of promotional techniques are suggested to accomplish these ends.
