摘要：

The article regards an approach that implies a dictionary is used not as a traditional tool for translating vocabulary units from one language into another but primarily as an educational tool helpful in building up language and cross-cultural competencies in students. The author gives practical recommendations concerning the principles and ways of how to implement a dictionary into the educational routine, thus facilitating efficient and fruitful work.
