We present several congruences for sums of the type Sigma(p-1)(k=1) m(k)k(-r)(2k k)(-1), modulo a power of a prime p. They bear interesting similarities with known evaluations for the corresponding infinite series. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
