摘要
Parliamentary elections in Slovakia that were held on Saturday 29 February 2020 were incredibly crucial. Spreading the agenda of political parties happens also through mass media coverage in political discussions and in the news. Especially television, as the most popular medium amongst Slovaks, could have shaped opinions of undecided voters. Therefore, a survey was conducted which analysed chosen daily news in TV channels (Markiza, JOJ, RTVS and TA3) between 15 and 28 February 2020. The survey focused on number of mentions of political parties and politicians. The aim of the article was to characterize differences between chosen TV stations according to their portrayal based on the chosen variable. We conclude even though proportion of mentioned politicians and political parties did not reflect the results of the elections, it reflected the actual situation at the time of the pre-election race.
