This note suggests a trade policy instrument to be used in a homogeneous product Bertrand duopoly with integrated markets. In contrast to previous analyses, there exists a pure strategy Nash equilibrium in prices when this trade policy instrument is used. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
