Digital Printing: Color at HIGH VOLUME

Recent advances in machines, print heads, software, and inks/colorants have pushed digital inkjet printing to higher performance levels that pass commercial muster for speed and efficiency. High-speed digital printers are now able to print 70 meters per minute, making them competitive with rotary screen printing. Coupled with that speed improvement, today's printers provide greater flexibility, greater printing detail, a wider range of colors, and more sustainability options. Hand in hand with those developments, improvements in color management, control, and gamut have been required in order to move from the sampling arena to high-volume territory.
