摘要
The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) deposition of a hydrophobic molecule onto substrates patterned at the micron scale with periodic hydrophobic and hydrophilic areas was studied to investigate the possibility of deposition onto a chemically patterned substrate and observe the effect of in-plane orientation of the transferred molecule. LB films of nickel tetrakishexyloxycarbonyl phthalocyanine (PcE6) were transferred onto the hydrophobic substrates with 0.975 transfer ratio and did not deposit on hydrophilic substrates. The selectivity of the deposition degraded with increasing speed, number of layers and angle between the transfer axis and patterned lines. No macroscopic influence of the pattern on the molecular orientation was observed.
