A Backstepping Method for Asymptotic Stabilization of a Class of Nonlinear Systems via Delayed Static Output Feedback

摘要
Motivated by the recent work [A], [9], we revisit the problem of how to globally stabilize a chain of integrators and a family of uncertain systems by delayed static output feedback, without designing dynamic observers. A new design method is proposed based on adding an integrator or the backstepping technique, together with the use of multiple distinct delays in the output signal. This work provides an interesting alternative to the output feedback control problem. The significance of the backstepping method lies in its potential applications to the delayed static output feedback control of a broader class of inherently nonlinear systems beyond what have been considered so far in the literature.
