摘要
We present a non-destructive measurement procedure to obtain material properties on parts manufactured using the Fused-Deposition-Modeling (FDM) method. This manufacturing method leads to an anisotropic structure within the part and possible degradation of the material itself due to high temperatures. Utilizing our measurement setup, we obtain the material properties from a set of samples, varying the printing temperature. The measurements show an influence of the printing temperature on the Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio. Young's modulus decreases due to a thermal degeneration by 3%. Poisson's ratio along the fiber direction increases by 7% because of better adhesion between the fibers and layers. The results can be utilized to include more design goals, such as maximum strength or maximum isotropy, when preparing a model for manufacturing in addition to already established design goals such as minimum surface roughness or maximum printing speed.
