摘要
This article aimed to recognize the foundations, strengths and weaknesses of creative tourism, as an alternative within cultural tourism, in order to envision more sustainable practices, as well as to weigh memorable experiences in visitors and the local community. The study sought to provide a compendium of evidences inherent to the development of tourism products, framed under this typology, in different spaces, differentiating itself from traditional tourism by the disruptive way in which it is offered to tourist demand. It is understood that it is not only necessary to be able to consider the importance of creativity as an essential input in the processes of creating tourist experiences, but also the ways that each destination adopts to discover, value and share its living culture, an inexhaustible source of resources for the modality analyzed. Achieving the desired objectives is estimated to be of interest to destinations that wish to become providers of creative tourism, with the intention that they do so efficiently and consciously regarding the efforts that this entails.
