摘要
In the present work, the ion conducting behaviour of NH4SCN doped PVA-PVP polymeric composites has been investigated, in an attempt to develop a suitable proton reservoir for electrochromic displays and other electro-optic devices. DSC analysis of these composites was carried out to study the complexation behaviour. Polarisation studies showed the ionic transport behaviour as indicated by large value of transference number (t(i) > 0.95). The ionic conductivity was found to increase continuously with the salt concentration in the range of present measurements for the blend ratio 90:10. This has been attributed to a greater flexibility of the polymer chain as indicated by mobility data.
