40Li(2)O-50V(2)O(5)-10P(2)O(5) system has been prepared via mechanochemical milling method and sintered at 400, 500 and 550 degrees C. The conductivity is observed to increase with the increase of sintering temperature. The sintering process changes the conduction mechanism from predominantly ionic to mix electronic-ionic conduction as evidenced by the changes of electronic transference number, re and ionic transference number, tau(i).
