摘要：
Database security has received a great deal of attention since the mid-1970s starting from discretionary security for System R and Ingres to access control models to multilevel database systems to security for emerging data management systems to data privacy to privacy-preserving data mining to data mining for security applications to big data security and privacy. This paper describes the developments in database security since 1975 and provides a vision for the future.
