摘要
Isocordoin, natural chalcone isolated of the root of Lonchocarpus xuul with antiprotozoal activity and cytotoxic effect in different tumoral lines. In the other hand, mice with L5178Y lymphoma (L51) present an immunosuppressive status and several studies have shown that TGF-beta 1 is a potent immunosuppressive molecule. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of isocordoin on TGF-beta 1 levels in mice with L51. Three groups of BALB/c mice: healthy (CT), with lymphoma (L51), and with lymphoma and isocordoin treatment (L51+ISO; 50mg/kg/3 sessions). The treatment started 4 days after the inoculation of the tumor. At 17(th) day of tumor evolution TGF-beta 1 was measured in fluids. The L51+ISO ascitis group shows significant decrease (p < 0.05) with respect to L51 group. In plasma TGF-beta 1 was decreased in L51 group and recovered with isocordoin. Conclusion: Isocordoin possesse antitumoral activity and modulate TGF-beta 1 concentration in ascitis and plasma of lymphoma bearing mice. Keywords: Antitumour activity; chalcone; isocordoin; L5178Y lymphoma; TGF-beta 1.
